Opus One Winery is located in the Oakville region of Napa Valley in California, USA. It is a winery specializing in the production of high-quality Bordeaux-style red wine. Its flagship product - Opus One is one of the top wines in the United States and even the world. Opus One Winery was established by the Rothschild family and Robert Mondavi.
It offers notes of Boysenberry, black currant and a hint of violet, with delicate notes of strawberry, blueberry and delicate cornflower/violet, along with Cuban pepper and nutmeg. On the palate it is fruity, well balanced, with a juicy/acidity structure, good clarity, density and a very fine grain. In the mouth the wine offers intense blackberry, rich blackberry and a touch of intense blueberry with delicate notes of strawberry and hints of tonka bean/chocolate, bourbon vanilla and cardamom (in the background) smell. The persistent chocolate flavor is very delicate.
