Tasting Note :
Here's a Grand Cru from a well respected domaine in a great vintage that is not absurdly expensive! The 2014 Echezeaux Grand Cru comes from the domaine's 1.82-hectares of nearly 60-year-old vines. The wine has a very well defined, detailed bouquet with red cherries, crushed strawberry and wilted rose petal scents that display fine intensity. The palate is medium-bodied, perhaps showing a touch of new oak on the entry and as such, it will need several years in bottle to fully absorb the wood.
