Tasting Note :
The 2014 Savigny-les-Beaune 1er les Narbartons comes from 53-year-old vines is matured in 30% to 40% new oak. It has a clean and pure bouquet: red cherries mixed with strawberry and dried rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with a slight meatiness on the entry, a savory style Savigny with respectable depth, the acidity well judged, if just pulling up a little swiftly on the finish. Still, this has good depth - rustic but charming.
