Tasting Note :
This 100% Grenache cuvée comes mainly from the unique terroir of "La Crau", hillsides of red clay surmounted by rolled pebbles deposited by the Rhône thousands of years ago. The aging is carried out in old oak barrels for 5 years for this 2011 vintage, a vintage of such quality that for the first time the 3 cuvées are marketed at the same time.
The color is dark ruby, slightly hazy. The nose is very intense, with notes of kirched cherry, blood orange, grapefruit, wilted rose petals, violet and leather. The mouth is fresh and concentrated, the tannins are very powerful but already melted and carried by a beautiful acidity, the length of the finish is incalculable and very smoky.
